Gospel to Matthew 16-13-20

 

13 Khi Đức Giê-su đến vùng kế cận thành Xê-da-rê Phi-líp-phê, Người hỏi các môn đệ rằng: "Người ta nói Con Người là ai? "

In jener Zeit, als Jesus in das Gebiet von Cäsarea Philippi kam, fragte er seine Jünger: Für wen halten die Leute den Menschensohn?

Now when Jesus had come into the parts of Caesarea Philippi, he said, questioning his disciples, Who do men say that the Son of man is?

 

14 Các ông thưa: "Kẻ thì nói là ông Gio-an Tẩy Giả, kẻ thì bảo là ông Ê-li-a, có người lại cho là ông Giê-rê-mi-a hay một trong các vị ngôn sứ."

Sie sagten: Die einen für Johannes den Täufer, andere für Elija, wieder andere für Jeremia oder sonst einen Propheten.

And they said, Some say, John the Baptist; some, Elijah; and others, Jeremiah, or one of the prophets.

 

15 Đức Giê-su lại hỏi: "Còn anh em, anh em bảo Thầy là ai? "

Da sagte er zu ihnen: Ihr aber, für wen haltet ihr mich?

He says to them, But who do you say that I am?

 

16 Ông Si-môn Phê-rô thưa: "Thầy là Đấng Ki-tô, Con Thiên Chúa hằng sống."

Simon Petrus antwortete: Du bist der Messias, der Sohn des lebendigen Gottes!

And Simon Peter made answer and said, You are the Christ, the Son of the living God.

 

17 Đức Giê-su nói với ông: "Này anh Si-môn con ông Giô-na, anh thật là người có phúc, vì không phải phàm nhân mặc khải cho anh điều ấy, nhưng là Cha của Thầy, Đấng ngự trên trời.

Jesus sagte zu ihm: Selig bist du, Simon Barjona; denn nicht Fleisch und Blut haben dir das offenbart, sondern mein Vater im Himmel.

And Jesus made answer and said to him, A blessing on you, Simon Bar-jonah: because this knowledge has not come to you from flesh and blood, but from my Father in heaven.

 

18 Còn Thầy, Thầy bảo cho anh biết: anh là Phê-rô, nghĩa là Tảng Đá, trên tảng đá này, Thầy sẽ xây Hội Thánh của Thầy, và quyền lực tử thần sẽ không thắng nổi.

Ich aber sage dir: Du bist Petrus, und auf diesen Felsen werde ich meine Kirche bauen, und die Mächte der Unterwelt werden sie nicht überwältigen.

And I say to you that you are Peter, and on this rock will my church be based, and the doors of hell will not overcome it.

 

19 Thầy sẽ trao cho anh chìa khoá Nước Trời: dưới đất, anh cầm buộc điều gì, trên trời cũng sẽ cầm buộc như vậy; dưới đất, anh tháo cởi điều gì, trên trời cũng sẽ tháo cởi như vậy."

Ich werde dir die Schlüssel des Himmelreichs geben; was du auf Erden binden wirst, das wird auch im Himmel gebunden sein, und was du auf Erden lösen wirst, das wird auch im Himmel gelöst sein.

I will give to you the keys of the kingdom of heaven: and whatever is fixed by you on earth will be fixed in heaven: and whatever you make free on earth will be made free in heaven.

 

20 Rồi Người cấm ngặt các môn đệ không được nói cho ai biết Người là Đấng Ki-tô.

Dann befahl er den Jüngern, niemand zu sagen, dass er der Messias sei.

Then he gave orders to the disciples to give no man word that he was the Christ.
